Although they have very few interactions throughout the film, they are shown to not be on bad terms and in fact get along quite well and have no apparent sibling rivalry (unlike their cousins Mirabel and Isabela).
Dolores Madrigal: Dolores is Camilo's older sister by six years and most of their appearances are side by side.Félix doesn't argue and allows Camilo to rant. When he makes a remark about the state of the house, Félix elbows him to keep quiet, but Camilo continues to remark on their situation. After the house collapses, Camilo sticks close to his father. During the proposal dinner, Camilo passes Dolores' news to Félix just as Félix is taking a sip of water, causing him to spray water all over Mariano, which Camilo finds amusing. When Félix scolds Camilo for mimicking Dolores just so he can have seconds during breakfast, Camilo transforms back and shrugs it off without argument. Before Antonio's gift ceremony begins, Camilo transforms into a miniature version of his father and humorously mimics his words, which annoys Félix. Félix Madrigal: Félix is Camilo's father and is always the one to interrupt his pranks. When Pepa shouts in alarm when the candle falls over, Camilo in response rushes to save the candle. After Pepa is upset by a failed proposal dinner for Isabela and nervous that the magic is in danger, Camilo tries to calm her down with a cup of tea while talking to her affectionately. Unlike with his father, Camilo never teases his mother and is very sweet to her. Pepa Madrigal: Pepa is Camilo's mother and the two are very close.Like everyone else, he cares deeply for his family and Casita. He has a softer side to him, shown when he tried calming his mother Pepa by giving her tea, even affectionally calling her mami. He's also known to pass a few snide remarks here and there, such as when he remarked on the fact that the family was homeless after Casita was destroyed. He uses his powers to entertain the children, while also poking fun at people, such as when he sang his part of We Don't Talk About Bruno and when he tried cheering up Antonio by mimicking his father. Camilo also wears black high-waisted pants and black sandals with a white pattern.Ĭamilo is best described as a prankster with a heart of gold. He wears a white button down shirt with long sleeves rolled up to his wrists and a yellow striped ruana on top, which has various chameleon motifs on it, representing Camilo's shapeshifting power. He has freckles across his nose and cheeks, along with dark tint on his eyelids. He has a good time and he's a lot of fun, but he loves his family." Physical appearanceĬamilo is a golden skin-toned teen with dark, curly hair and hazel eyes. And so he's out there, trying to get that attention. I mean, I'm an actor, so when you sort of try and get that spotlight, it feels nice, it feels good. He sort of wants to make everyone laugh, have a good time. Rhenzy Feliz, Camilo's voice actor, describes his character as: "…someone who's a little crazy, a little dramatic, and someone who's a lot of fun, and a lot of energy, you're born an entertainer. His magical gift is the ability to shape-shift. Camilo is described as someone who "doesn't quite know who he is yet" and even uses his gift to try out different personas, as well as tease his relatives and make people laugh.Ĭamilo is a teen who doesn't know who he is yet, still growing in life and trying different personas.
